GE gas oven - broiler ignites, but not lower burner
Model Number: jgbp33weh3ww Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
My daughter reports that the broiler will ignite, but not the lower oven. What to check? Igniter, thermopile? Dan Related Models

Dan,
Start the bake cycle. Open the oven door and watch the bake igniter (next to the bottom burner. If it's not turning red, most likely the igniter has gone bad. I'm assuming the range is not in your house. Would your daughter able to replace the part? The igniter Part number: AP2014008 Here are the diagrams for GE range Model JGBP33WEH3WW Happy Holydays!
