I am helping a friend with his range. The problem is the right front burner is a dual burner, the outer burner works fine, but the small inner burner does not work at all. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have the same problem in my JBP84BH1BB and after looking at the temp sensor and how it is positioned in the wiring of the element I see that the small element and large element touch along the sensor rod and as such "sense" the heat coming from them. Mine worked fine, but after much time and using this small element the most there must be some insulation built up on the sensor or the element wire so as to not report the actual temp.

I suspect that either the sensor needs to be cleaned or replaced as a first step in solving this, but if the same sensor works for the large element it is not the sensor itself, but the side where the small element touches it or the element has some bad wire and in that case the whole element would need replacing. One part supplier has it for about $75.

I am searching for a solution myself, but this is what I have found so far.
