Hi,

The element on my Dual Fuel (Electric) Oven is no longer heating at all. In addition, the Red indicator light will not illuminate. When I do place it into Bake mode, I can hear it 'clicking' (normal) as it tries to raise the heat.

- On 'Bake' setting, the upper (broil) element heats (and the broil function works just fine)
- I removed/checked the element with a multimeter and it has continuity
- I removed/checked the thermal fuse with a multimeter and it has continuity
- My guess is that the only other problem is a blown logic board (which I can get fixed by a refurbisher)

***My question is whether there are other common faults that could cause this problem before I remove the board and send it off for a couple of weeks***

Although it is a downdraft model, I can disconnect the conduit below easily to access the oven/pull it out.

New to the forum - any help/advice appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing, but it sounds like a bad bake relay. If the wiring and element test good, its probably the board.

Thanks - much appreciated. I'll remove the board and get it checked.

Regards,

John

Hey - thanks - sent the board to Corecentric Solutions - $150 for the repair - all set and oven works fine. Compared to the clowns who came to repair it and wanted $2,000, that's a bargain. Appreciate your help!
