I have a Tappan oven, don't know the model #, that the bake element stopped working. I took off the back panel to test and found the following results;
Readings without power;
Unhooked bake element reads 20 ohms lead to lead,
thermostat reads 1.75k ohms,
wires to bake element to control panel have continuity.
wires from thermostat to control panel have continuity.

Reading under power;
Ground to each side of bake element connected 120 VAC
when bake cycle is on.
Relay in control panel can be heard turning on.

Everything electrically seem to be working.
BUT the baking element will not heat up.

Any suggestions??????
