I have a Maytag CWE 5800 ACB electric double range. I'm getting F3 and F5 errors while cooking and then the oven shuts itself off. I removed the oven temperature sensor and tested it with a multi-meter and the resistance is about 1085 Ohms at approx. 70 degrees (which seems to be correct according to what I found online). Is it possible the sensor might still be the culprit or do I definitely need to replace the Electronic Range Control--a much more expensive repair? I wasn't sure whether it was worth installing a new temperature sensor just to see if it fixes the problem (the risk would be opening the package and making it non-returnable to the appliance parts store where I purchased it). Thanks!
