I am reassembling my cooktop after replacing a burner. In reinstalling the fan and cover, I realized I didn't note where I took the connectors off of the transformer on the fan. There are 3 connectors...2 on top labeled (by hand) L and H (for low and high?)and one on the bottom labeled N (for neutral?). Orientation of cooktop unit is upside down for reassembly. There are 2 wires...one black and one white (neutral). I assume the white goes on the neutral and I think the black was on the "L", but I didn't make notes. Is that correct or should the wires go on different positions?

Yes I think the white wire goes to N.

I cannot find any info on where the black wire goes.

Perhaps take a look at the L and H spade lugs on the fan.
Often a connector will leave a couple vertical scratches on them when attached.
Check for the one that has the scratches and odds are high that that is the correct connector.
A magnifying glass may help here.

With luck someone else will jump in who knows what is the correct lug.
