Hi to all I have just fitted a new thermostat in my oven because it was over heating. With the new one in place I still have the oven over heating, I’ve had a play with it by removing the wires from the thermostat and removed stat from selector and the oven still comes on and over heats . I thought the oven element was switched via the stat and wouldn’t work without it, plus with the stat tube still in the oven , but stat itself not connected to anything I can hear it clicking on and off from the stat as temperature goes up and down. Has anyone got any ideas where I am going wrong? Thanks Garry
