After replacing the inner glass pack (dropped cassrole dish) the door now slams shut and will not stay in a "fixed" open position. Please help. To the best of my knowledge the hinges are installed properly.

Here are your parts. Parts for GE JB640DR5WW / Range - AppliancePartsPros.comIf you click on a parts description a new page will open, often with more views and info. You may want to take a look at the hinges and the hinge receivers. Remove the door and reinstall it. Visualy check the hinges and the receivers. If that does nothing then you are probably going to have to replace the hinges. |
