My parents have an amana oven/convection oven. For about two years now it has been having trouble with the temp randomly dropping. The oven heats up, and reaches the appropriate temp. After it has been on for a while it occasionaly loses heat... the display continues to show the correct temp, and that the oven is on, however when you open the door you find the temp inside is barely warm.


My mother has ignored it assuming she was setting a timer wrong, however, she no longer uses a cook timer and a still has the problem. It mostly happens when cooking longer times... like today prepping for thanksgiving.

I found other somewhat similar posts, but they seem to involve the oven showing it's off or the display going blank or freezing... neither of which is the case. It looks fine, but lost heat. Turning it off and back on, it heats right back up (without needing to unplug or cut power).

Any suggestions?
