while doing a safety check for a new customer, he informed me that his oven wouldn't ignite and hadn't been working for months but he didn't use it anyway. Weeks later he called and asked me to come fix it. I made the assumption that it just needed an ignitor. I replaced the ignitor and turned on the oven and....nothing. I checked the wires for a good connection, I turned on the broiler which worked great. The customer then told me the oven didn't just stop working, it gradually got worse. He said at first it would take forever to warm up, then it wouldn't come on unless he set the temp over 450. then it stopped working completely. would this be caused by the thermostat bulb? I don't want to spend another trip working on it without being certain this time. Is there anything else that could cause these symptoms?
