The lamp that indicates that the stove top / burner area is hot remains lit at all times.

This is an all electrical unit, with no gas fuel.

Wondering what to do to repair this problem, or what part to buy to fix this.

I am the maintenance man in a housing facility, and I don't know if this lamp is sensitive to temperature, or is on / off with the burner on / off as a trigger source. I don't have that info from the tenant either.

I realize the lamp could likely just be disabled, but that may present liability issues to the apartment facilities management. If disabling the lamp is the only option, then I will forward that info to my superiors and let them decide.
