We had thunder storms one night with power flickers and failures; which took out my oven. There is nothing on the display and it does not beep when any of the buttons are pressed, it is completely dead. I have made a few repairs to my oven previously. Can you make any suggestions as to what part/parts might most likely be the culprit? I know where I can get my control board repaired, but I am sure that there are other parts i should check first. Thanks!

Here are your parts
Parts for KitchenAid KEBS208DSS8 Oven - AppliancePartsPros.com

Below is a tech sheet

I cannot get one for a single oven but it will be basically the same.

Check that the power at the unit is OK.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the unit
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
LL1 to Neutral is the side that powers the control board.
Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!

If OK remove power from the unit and check the power supply fuse, should be 0 ohms
It should be close to the control board.
Part number: AP3777386
Part number: AP3777386

If OK check the power out from the control transformer.

If OK, odds are that the control board is shot

If OK

Thanks! The problem is the Control Transformer. I do not see this part in the schematics, unless it is one of the transformers listed in the "05 - Top Venting Optional" diagram. Can you please provide me with the part number for the Control Transformer, or will I need to go to another vendor?

It should be either item 5 or 7 in section 05.
I am not sure which one is but should have red and blue wires going to it.
