Hi,

I am currently working on a GE Range JB988SH2SS.
I am at a loss the convection fan motor will not spin.
I have already taken the motor out and just jumped it to see if hooking power to it would make it run and it does. Is there a certain time the fan will run in the range or am i just to antsy not waiting long enough for it to kick on?
Also another ? the element around the convection fan i cant find a way to get that to heat up is there a certain time or mode i need to wait for ?
And yes i checked continuity on the element and its good.
Sorry this is such a jumbled post but i really need to get this repaired.

For the convection fan and element to work you must be in convection mode.

Go to the GE Appliance website and download the manual for this unit.
It should be available in the Support section.
