KXD4636YSS0 downdraft vent does not come up at all. Here is what happened.

1. I pressed the top switch, downdraft started coming up.
2. Before it settles down, I removed one of the filters for cleaning. Suddenly it started going down by itself.
3. It went down and has only 1 filter inside, does not come up now even after pressing the button multiple times.

Did the button go wrong?
Is the switch circuit not complete with only 1 filter left inside?

How Do i bring up the downdraft vent to put back the filter?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can I manually try to PULL UP the downdraft vent after removing the top cover?
