Broiler element detonated, was quite spectacular.

While waiting for its replacement, I need to run the oven I have an F3 code but that presumably is because the temp sensor is disconnected.

The broiler wires are safely taped up and secure, if I connect the temp sensor is it ok to run the oven?

Thanks.

Should be OK as long as you are 110 percent sure that the broil element wires cannot short to anything and that the tape can withstand the heat.

Note if youwant to bake in the oven then odds are it will ot work. During bake mots units switch back and forth between the bake and broil elements to give a more even temperature profile in the oven.
So baking results will be very very poor.
