Hi,
We just replaced the burned out oven igniter on our old whirlpool stove (after not using the oven for 6 mos.) Now, when firing it up, it ignites quickly but the flame is blowing away from some parts of the oven burner with noise and not lighting fully especially on one side of the burner. We brushed the ports and vacuumed it. We smelled gas too. So we shut it off of course. What should we try now. Should we remove the igniter and the oven burner tube and clean better or what else could the problem be? It is a whirlpool stove, about 12 years old, model #SF315PEKQ0 Thank You
