One day I slipped and ended up hitting one of the knobs of my KitchenAid Superba Gas Oven model KGST307HBS6. Since then, I can only push the knob down but then it does not turn and as a consequence I cannot use the burner associated with it.
Today I have finally removed the control panel following the directions from a different thread and could reach the system behind the knob but I was not able to disassemble it (there are two tiny black hex bolts which are hard to unscrew). Any idea on what part was damaged? Is it fixable without damaging it even more? I am quite handy, but I am afraid that once I get to let the gas flow then I might not be able to close it afterwards. Any risk of this kind?
Thank you very much for any suggestion!
