My thermador down draft operates up and down but exhaust does not. It was removed due to new counter top.Could the 15 amp. fuse have blown? Or does that not have anything to do with the exhaust

The first thing I would check is proper electrical connections and the two plugs under the stove on the right side.

Thank you for your advise. All connections were retwisted and I put on new wire nuts. Still everything works but the exhaust. The two plugs on the right I took off and made sure cleaned. Any more advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Gene,

Check if 120V is coming to the blower motor while the speed switch is "on".

If there is 120V then check the capacitor and the motor windings.

If there is no 120V then check the top limit switch and the speed control.

Unfortunately I'm not able to find the wiring diagram for your unit and I'm not able to provide more accurate advise.

Gene.
