I apologize for not having the model number as most of it has rubbed off....lousy location to place it.

My LED screen has been getting faint recently and been really hard to read but yesterday it just started beeping at random times and sometimes won't stop even after clearing it. I think I found the part I need (a new touchpad and control panel - WB36T10028) but can't confirm it is the right part as I don't have a complete model number. It looks like the right screen from the pictures.

I guess my question is, will this fix the problem? What does the control panel control? I was thinking I might also have to change whatever the control panel is plugged into. Does that sound right?
