Back in March I replaced the membrane overlay assembly front control panel on this range because it popped an error code (with its incessant dinging) when the oven temp went above 300 and the membrane "buttons" became unresponsive - couldn't turn it off. New membrane overlay fixed that problem.
At the time the control/clock LCD was quite dim. Now it is black until the oven temp reaches about 300 and then the LCD becomes visible, but never normally bright. Attached are photos I took while it was disassembled.
I am going to replace the oven controller board because the C3 and C11 caps look quite bad as does that toasted-looking area around R16-R18-R22.
My question: How likely is it that the J1 harness is going to have to be replaced too? Or is that C11 crud at the connector base and the blueish powder where the wires go into the connector just cosmetic?
