I have managed to crack the inner (hopefully only that one) glass panel on my range while baking pizzas at 550 degrees. Some cold liquid apparently got on it.

This range is now out of service contract and is close to (or just past) 10 years old. While I don't relish having to replace it, I don't want to invest a great deal in a repair.

Does the glass HAVE to be replaced? If so...

Is this remotely a repair a homemaker can do, or am I looking at a $100 service call plus parts? How complicated is it?

Is this the right part number? Part Number AP2126631 I saw two different inner glass panels listed and the first one said "not available"...

Any guidance would be most welcome. I'm pretty annoyed with myself here.

Many thanks!

This is a DIY job

See the following link to a manual. You will have to join the site and be logged in to be able to download the manual. Because of the way Frigidaire puts manuals together I cannot say if it is an exact match to your unit but should be a close. Once you get the door off lay it on top of a couple towels or a blanket on a counter or table with the handle over the edge so the door lays flat and go from there.

I do not think so.
I am assuming that the inner glass that cracked is the innermost glass in which case the part you need is AP2125926

Why they call three of the glass panels the inner glass is beyond me.

Thanks Denman. I've downloaded the manual and glanced at it this busy morning, but I'm not completely sure I found the details of how to dis- and reassemble the door.

Where would I find a list of tools I would need? I have the normal assortment that a household of 35+ years would have for average home use (no tool nut here). I'd like to have the tools I need when the part arrives.

Thanks so much for your help!
