I have a Viking electric range with a glass cooktop. The cooktop has come unglued. Is there a high temp adhesive to replace the glass panels?

The answer most likely is "No". It has to be replaced.

I cannot find any info on this unit.

Try to contact the manufacturer or a dealer, they should be able to help you out, if they are a decent company.

If not Google "glass high temp glue" and you should be able to find something that will do the job. This of coarse assumes that these panels are not broken/cracked.

The panels are still intact but the manufacturer wants to sell me all new stove top. They look like a new adhesive will work though. I'll try the google search. Thanks

Since the manufacturer is no help when you look for an adhesive try to find one that does not get hard so that there is some give for the expansion of your glass panels.

I believe high temp silicone will do this but am not sure.

There is a company that provides a kit to glue glass oven doors. The adhesive should be suitable for glass hobs too. They are based in the UK bit ship to the US

Did you find a special glue and what was it called?
I cannot believe this happens and there is not a fix. I do not pjsn to buy a new top at a cost that is equal to buy a new GE or Kitchenaid

The adhesive does not need to be high temp. The edges don't get that hot. Your problem will be a strong enough adhesive and getting pressure on it while it cures. I've not been able to sucsefully do it yet, and have stopped attempting it. It will end up looking like crap when you're done. Anything tried may appear to work but weakens quickly. Moisture, grease, food, heat...all enemies to your project. By the new top or buy a cheaper cooktop.
