I have a GE electric oven that will not hold the temp after I set it I realize it when it takes longer than normal to bake something. I will set the oven at 350 and I will listen for a tick, tick , tick noise and know it's dropping the temperature if I let it go it can drop 70 degrees or more. I stop it and hit off , then start again with Bake, 350, set and wait for it to rise to the temp then listen to see if it holds which it never does for long. It only holds the temp for maybe 5 minutes then starts dropping. They have changed the sensor, control board and it works for maybe a couple days then starts again. Help please ! I want to include this note. This is our second GE stove in 2 years they replaced the other because they couldn't fix it because of the same problems. I've already had a repair man here doing the same replacements with no improvement . He changed the sensor and control board without doing any tests just by what I told him. Do you think it is something in our house like the breakers . We can't have 2 identical stoves that are lemons can we?? Also where do you find a good electrician that has a new idea instead of following everything by the book ? Thanks for any help we feel like there's no help out there for us!
