Our Amana stove has two problems. Initially the display panel stopped responding and when we pushed hard on the buttons, our fingers went right through, but they did begin working. So this definitely needs to be replaced.

Now, the oven turns off whenever I am baking. If I bake at only 325 degrees, it will stay on longer, but it will turn off before I am done cooking. The hotter the oven, the faster it will turn off. It won't even finish preheating to higher temperatures before it turns off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have all Amana applicances. The only one without a problem so far is the fridge. I am off to post in the other threads for parts needed on our microwave and dishwasher!

I have the same problem - oven shuts off and I'm being told the manufacter of the part is out of business - I'm being told I need a new "oven control" Can any one help. The stove is only 6 years old

Ours is about 6 years old too! We had a repair guy come out...he says we need a new control panel. Quote was for like $300-$400. Totally not worth it. So we are just going to have to get a new one. Good luck with yours
