Oven is slow to pre-heat

Model Number: RF386PXGZ0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

Both elements heat up; broils fine. But is slow to pre-heat (10 minutes) to 350 and if door is opened then is slow to come back up to temp. Separate oven thermometer says it comes to temp and holds so long as the door remains closed. But cakes take about 7 minutes longer to finish. [This is Whirlpools AccuBake system]
