I am looking at a Whirlpool range model# RF386PXGT for a friend. The door is locked whether there is power to it or not, so I assume the lock plunger is frozen. How do I access it without being able to open the door?

Here are your parts
03-Chassis parts for Whirlpool RF386PXGT2 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Below is what comes up in the Q&A for the latch at AppliancePartsPros (item 4 in section 03)

Use an ice pick and go through the vents in the oven door area and pull the latch over and open the door. Then you will need to replace the latch 9761013 and the clock assembly on the unit to repair it.
