Broiler & Oven turn on at same time
Model Number: Unsure Brand: Thermador Age: 5 - 10 years
Dear Forum Members,
We have a Thermador dual fuel gas stovetop/electric oven. When the oven is set to bake the broiler turns on too. I think it may be in the electrical circuit board on the front panel but not sure. Any ideas? Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Intandem

Hello,
Is the clock on your range digital and in the center of the unit? If so, it sounds like an RDFS, RDDS, etc.. To be sure, you can remove the kick panel to access the data tag. If it is one of these ranges, the unit may cycle between the two elements while baking, but they should not both be glowing red at the same time. If this is the case, the only component which controls the elements is the control board, Thermador part number 486752.
