Hi, My Amana gas range oven frequently turns off when in use. The clock flashes on/off until reset. Often the oven works but when I turn it off a few minutes later the clock again flashes on/off until reset.
A repairman had us order a new thermostat which I now have, but then refused to come and install.
Can I replace this myself? Is it possibly NOT the thermostat (which looks like a metal thermometer with a modular plug at the wired end) but in fact a heat sensor that I need as I saw about a similar range on this forum?
