We have had continuous problems with the self-cleaning feature of our double wall ovens. Loud bang and control board not functioning. Service man replaced both blowers and thermostats( saying they were undersized),a transformer and the control board. Second time we attempted self-cleand after service, the control panel went again. Only had a 3 month warranty so we were back at square one. We are going to replace the control panel again but I was wondering if drilling holes in the sides of the adjacent cabinets on either side would provide better air flow to help cool the ovens when self-cleaning. The ovens are fairly well closed in so I'm not sure how efficient the system is when trying to exhaust the heat through the front of the ovens.
