![]() Model Number: J KP45W0A2WW Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
![]() My double oven stopped heating up. First the Top stopped then the bottom followed about two months later and after I tried several new Elements. Is the Panel or Control Board something to replace or test? Thanks Related Models |

![]() If the ovens failed at separate times and you have not self cleaned the ovens recently (like right before failure), the oven control is indeed likely faulty. I can guide you through some testing if you have a meter to test voltage and can get to the back of the oven control. If you do not have a meter, I would replace the oven control, available below.

![]() Hi, I have a meter and tried a while back to remove the panel to check for any visible issues. Could not remove it completely due to the large number of wiring harnesses that would not disconnect. Willing to give it a go, but may need to address this Thursday evening.

![]() If you can get the access panel (number 432) removed, you will have full access to the back of the oven control. This will require pulling the oven out. Just post back once you have access and we can get it figured out!

![]() Okay, so can you locate the wires on the relays marked yellow that lead to each bake element and remove the wire that goes from the relay to the elements and tape them off. Then, power on the oven and turn the ovens to bake and measure those empty terminals on the relays you just removed the wires from for 120 VAC, measuring from each terminal to ground?
