Seeing sparks in back of range
Model Number: FEF336BGW Brand:

Our selector switch for our range needed to be replaced. I ordered a new one and we installed it on the stove just now. Everything was working great (elements were heating up like they should) until we noticed that when we turn the knob for the new selector switch and the thermostat knob is on, there is a spark as we turn the selector switch. This does not seem normal. Does anyone know why this is doing this. We wanted to make sure everything was working well before we put the back of the stove back on so that is how we noticed it. Thank you.
Edited for better explanation: sparks aren't the correct description, it is more like quick flashes of green colored light that appears when the circuits on the switch open and close. I am unable to find out if this is normal for the switch as the temperatures adjust or not. Any help would be great.
