The unit was giving off a terrible smell so I popped the lid and saw this. Looks like the insulation is in direct contact with the elements and are completely roasted. Anyone know why you would design a unit that has the insulation in direct contact with the heating elements and secondly if this is repairable or repairable without the costs exceeding the value of the unit? heavybones attached the following image(s):
