When I turn the oven control knob to light the oven the circuit breaker for this outlet trips and power is lost. How do I test where this short is coming from? The oven was turning itself on before this problem started. It is not on a dedicated circuit but all other draws were turned off so this was the only thing drawing current. I do not see any kind of board.

Ovens are by NEC code supposed to be on there own circuit. Can't tell you where a short is over the internet. Call in a professional appliance repair tech to diagnose problem.
