Default Remove front panel slide in Frig range
Model Number: FES300EBD   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

I turned on oven and it made a loud pop noise and tripped the breaker. I thought my element went bad and replaced it but that did not help. Now when I press broiler or element it will not heat them up. The stove top works but not oven. How do I remove the front panel to get to control board. I have a slide-in frigidaire range(Model FES300EBD) and have not been able to find anything about how to get to the board. I have found screws underneath the front panel and removed but it still will not come loose. Please advise.

I have a similar model (FES355DSB) with control in front. Been looking forever online (and saw your post) for answers and finally figured it out. So I had to come back and pass the word. You don't need to take out any screws on the underside of the board. What's holding the panel down can be found under the control knobs. Remove the knobs and you'll see that the pegs have a white round plastic white base with grooves on either side. The base is actually a screw itself. Use a flat-head screw driver and place it in the groove and pushing a little (counter-clock wise) to loosen it. Then you can unscrew with your hands. The panel lifts right up. Though be careful and don't yank it off. The oven light switch is still attached to it, so just slide the panel onto the stove top. Hope this helps.
