Hi - our lower oven stopped working after 1 batch of cookies this AM.

It's a Thermador CT-227, and the "HEAT" light no longer comes on for any cycle, including the broiler (thus probably not an element problem). The ovens were run through clean cycles last week, and the lower oven hadn't been used since then until today. No relay clicking either, on any cycle.

I replaced the rotary switches last year after some intermittent operation.

No error codes are shown on the display.

Any ideas on likely causes? Other things to check? Thermostat or temp. sensor maybe?

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Does the fan run? Without a fan, a device called an air switch will not close. If the control does not "see" this air switch close, it will not turn on the heat light, nor will it let the oven heat. If the upper oven works, the air switch is good, because it's common to both ovens.

If the fan is running, you may have a control board issue.

The upper oven works fine, and the fan runs... is the control board the most likely cause then, or could it be a thermostst/temp. sensor?

Thanks, Mike
