Purchased a new control panel to install in Whirlpool double oven. The original part was marked Revision E, but the new replacement was marked Revision A. Do the revision levels need to match and what problems can be expected if an A level replaces an E level?

I recently purchased a new control panel for a Whirlpool double oven. The original part was marked Revision E, but the new replacement unit was marked Revision A. Do the revision levels need to match and what are the expected problems if the A level is used in lieu of an E level parft?
