I have an Amana gas cooktop model AKS3640SS that suddenly is tripping the circuit regardless of which outlet its plugged into.

History:
This cooktop was installed when the house was built in 2006. It's been working fine. The other day the igniter was stuck and kept sparking/clicking constantly, whether the stove was in use or not so I unplugged it and that stopped the igniter. After 15 minutes I went to plug it back in and I heard a loud pop and the circuit tripped. I reset the circuit tried it again and I even tried several other outlets with the same result. This tells me it's something within the unit.

Any suggestions on what needs to be replaced? Is it salvageable? It's not that old.

Thanks

Mark
