I have a Whirlpool Gas oven, when baking the temperature slowly falls from the set temp to below 200F. The burner is igniting, but short cycles as it turns off and back on in just a few seconds. I have tested the two temperature sensors with an ohm meter and they read about 1080 ohms at room temp. I have even replaced one sensor to see if there was a problem that room temperature testing would not reveal.

It looks like logical troubleshooting would indicate either an bake burner tube/igniter (this model has igniter sold only with the burner) or an oven control module. The oven control module has been discontinued my the manufacturer and is no longer available.

What are the chances that the igniter is the culprit?

Thanks!
