What about THIS thermostat instead of THAT one?
Model Number: PRSE484ggs Brand: Thermador Age: More than 10 years
So the thermostat I need for the small oven of my 48" Thermador PRSE484GGS is:
Okay, this is no longer available (except for the guy on ******** selling one for $550). So the replacement model is (based on all the info I find online):
Okay, and now this one is also not available. However, when I called my local appliance parts company (Mack Stove), they told me the part that was suggested for my stove, and the part they could get is:
Question: Does anyone have experience with this Thermador model, and specifically this thermostat (for the smaller oven)? Do you think the 538 will work in place of the 537? I've seen the 538 photo. It does look similar (not exact) and I think it would fit. Are there other issues to consider?
The parts place quoted me $234.50, but I know I can get it cheaper elsewhere...about $150. Do you guys think I should give it a shot?
