Default Oven ignightor going on and off
Model Number: fgf337gcb   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

I checked the oven and the ignightor was dim so i installed a new ignightor. I push the clock to put the oven on and it would not go on. I checked it again and watched it go on and off. It would light the flame and then it would go off again. I checked the plug wires that plug into the ignightor. I even cut out the plug so it was a direct hook up. I checked the control panel . I didn't see any burnt spots but it could be bad. I am not sure if it's the control panel or the gas valve I need your help.

Hi.

For how long the gas stays on and does the ignitor turns off together with gas?
Would it go back on in a few minutes?
When you are trying it, is the oven reassembled?

Simon.

The first time i was checking it i could not get it to go on at all. I tryed it again it went on for maybe 10 seconds went off for a few seconds and went back on it did that a few time then it stayed on for about a min . I didnt keep it on long everytime i checked it thats what happen. I checked it a few times and yes the gas went off when the ignightor went off. I had just the oven bottom part off that covers the ignightor. The first time i checked it i could not get it to go on at all. If i take the valve wires off and put them together i can tell if its the control panel or the valve right? if it stays bright then the control panel is sending it the right current.

I don't think that bipassing the gas valve is a good idea. What you can do is to disconnect the ignitor, turn the oven on and check if 120 Volts from the control board stays on.
I'm thinking it is most likely the gas valve.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Burner parts for Frigidaire FGF337GCB - AppliancePartsPros.com

I was thinking the same thing, but i never saw one break like that everytime i saw one break it was dead. I wanted to ask you something else, I followed the wires from the ignightor the power line goes into 3 wires for the light the control panel and i think the ignightor. It comes out of the spark box and turns into the 3 wires when i pulled the box out the back came out a little and went right back in could this be it? Everything else was working but this don't happen until it has a load on so thats why i am trying to cover all the bases what do you think? Thanks for all of your help

When saying "the spark box" do you mean the junction box? Sorry, I do not quite understand what you saying.
Sounds like you are describing the neutral wire, going from the power cord connection to the various parts. The picture might help.
