Default Frigidaire Electric Oven Doesn't Heat
Model Number: plef398ccc   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Several days after clean mode both, bake and broil element don't heat. Power is good to poles on the back. Elements read about .13 ohms but no juice when controls are on and testing for 240v touching element connections, one probe on each side. Is there an in-line fuse ? What does it look like ? Can I find a schematic somewhere on the net ? Thanks!

Most likely the problem is a bad Electronic Oven Control (EOC) which has to be replaced.

- The part number for the EOC is AP3215567

The temperture display work as does the convection fan, heat display for broil or bake elements. Is there an in line fuse ?

There is no fuses and the problem has nothing to do with the display.

There is a few relays in the EOC which supplied power to the heating elements.

Can the relays be replaced or is the only option is to spend $200 on the EOC?

If there would be any options I will let you know, but not in this case.

The wife happened to try the preheat (400) and the top element heated to maybe 250. does this confirm the EOC's kaput? Thanks for the help and patients!

If there is the right power to the unit - most likely the problem caused by the EOC.

Default Used Frigidaire won't heat to red and clock wont work

I just bought a used Frigidaire electric oven (white). When I plugged it in the clock worked then it conked out. Also the stove elements wont get red hot - my eggs took about 8 minutes to cook and even then they were runny.

I looked at the fuse, it is 15 A - could this be too low? I am not sure what an EOC is, but if it's 200 and I just spent 90 for the oven itself, I dont wanna get one!

TY

What is the complete model number of the range?

If this range is electric then there are suppose to be 240 volts outlet for the range and a double circuit breaker (at least 30 amps each) in the breaker box.
