I love this dual oven griddle in the middle stove top oven.

Problem...the right large oven door has what looks as a manual oven latch.

The loop is on the door and the latch is in the oven but is in the OPEN position.

There is a metal bar that runs from the latch, under the griddle to the back of the stove.

Is there a manual latch or handle that I am missing to lock the door into place.

This stove is super old also but works great...just need to solve this door problem.

This door latch should be open unless you are going to use the self clean. Then it'll latch automatically. The door should be unlatched for cooking.

The door does not stay closed.

I see no other device or mechanism that would keep the door closed.

It tilts open about 1/2 inch.

The small oven on the left has metal peg with a ball on the tip that goes into a latch device on the inside of the oven to keep it closed but there is no similar peg on the right side oven.

Any ideas?

I would suspect the door hinges and their springs. The springs are no longer available.
