I noticed today, while baking cookies, that my oven temp is off. I adjusted it accordingly with the oven/temp pad, just like when you first set it to cook. Then after a while, it flashed a F2. What is my problem? Thanks in advance. Constance

I cannot find any info on the given model number. Please check it. Are you sure it has the 0 in it. Following is the parts for a JBP35WK1WW Parts for GE JBP35WK1WW Range - AppliancePartsPros.comI cannot find a tech sheet for this unit but F2 on many GE's is an over temperature error. Is it getting too hot? You did not say if the oven was too hot or too cool or haw much it was off by. Try unplugging it for a couple minutes to see if it will reset. If the actual oven temperature is close to the set point temperature I would start by checking the oven sensor. It could be it is giving the control board a bad resistance reading. Below is a link with info on this. Look at 7, 8, 20 and 21. http://www.applianceaid.com/electric-range-repair-topics.php |
