Just replaced the lower bake element in my Maytag electric range for the second time. The problem is that this time the range will not heat up. The element is drawing electricity but not getting above 110 degrees. The broiler works just fine as does the touchpad. There are no fired or damaged wires attaching to the element. Any suggestions???

I NEED HELP!

Brought a multimeter home today and checked the main terminals connecting the power to the stove and got 240 volts.

I turned the oven on and running 240 volts from each terminal to each side of the bake element.

Was that the correct procedure?
