GE Wall Oven Both the Bake and Broil Elements will not heat. Happened after self clean. Everything else works including the blower, control panel, etc. Read that the Limit Switch maybe the cause. On the parts diagram there is two limit switches, one on the metal housing and one on the vent nozzel. Which one would control the elements from turning on. Also, read where a simple test would be to connect the terminals to the limit switch and turn on briefly to see if the elements work. Any help/input would be appreciated

Hi.

I'm not sure about the location of the hi limit, but it's connected with the Orange common wire to the double relay on the control board and 2 Orange wires from the elements on the other side.
Opens at 248F.

I hope that will help you.

Post the results.

Simon.

Simon

The limit switches I am refering to are shown on the Parts diagram labeled Body with Microwave Support, Parts #157 and #159.
Would either or both of these have to do with controling the elements

Please read my post again and see if you can find the right thermostat.
There is only one thermostat you need to replace.
