My electric double oven and glass top Maytag range is clicking. It seems to work just fine but when not in use there is a click which comes from the control panel. Any ideas? I don't know much about ovens but it almost sounds like a solenoid or electric switch of some kind.

Thanks for the response Gene. The clicking is sporadic and when it occurs it happens once or twice every 15 -30 seconds. I have been playing with it more and it seems to happen after I have used the oven. The noise sounds very similar to the click which occurs when I turn the oven on. I think it must be the switch which turns the oven on/off.
The display does not say anything (just the time). Is there an electronic switch which turns the oven on and clicks? I am guessing that switch is the problem.

You are welcome. Looks like the problem is a bad oven control board. It is recommended to order it together with the overlay because it is adhered to the control board. - The control board Part number: 12001661
