My Whirlpool Polara is intermittently giving me an error code that would indicate a problem with the oven temperatures. I have gone in and tested both the top and the bottom oven sensors and got the following results: TOP BOTTOM RT: 1.082 1.082 350 1.331 1.322 400 1.782 1.751
It seems like the sensors are all working, and was wondering what else I could check to make sure i am doing the correct repair.

See the attachment for the tech sheet. Not sure what the E0F4 is as it is not on the sheet. I would check the connection to the common of the sensors on the control board. Also chck for a cold solder joint on the back of the control board in the area where the sensors connect. Cold solder joints are often a duller silver and may have pin holes. Try gently wiggling the connector to if it's legs move in the solder. A magnifying glass is useful for the above. If all OK then odds are that the control board is toast. |
