Default left 1/2 top element dont heat
Model Number: 58h 2cxw   Brand: Magic Chef   Age: 5 - 10 years

left half dont heat i can disconnect wire at left side and jump hot wire from right side to left and entire element will heat red hot. how can i test broiler/bake select switch and thermostat switch to tell if they are bad?

thats the # on the id tag. the 58ha-2cxw appears to be the same. the ser.# begins with 18c. thanks jerry

This model number is correct. Unfortunately the range is so old that no wiring diagrams and/or electrical schematics are available online. Also the selector switch for the oven is no longer available.
