Model Number: ESG486 Brand: Dacor Age: More than 10 years
I recently purchased an igniter for my ESG 486 dacor cooktop. The part arrived quickly and in good condition, but it does not look the same as my other igniters. The other igniters are white ceramic with smooth round tops while the replacement is white ceramic with a flat metal disk . I am also having trouble figuring how to remove the old igniter. There are no screws on the cooktop deck or under the burner caps. We purchased the dacor in 1997 and this is the first problem we have had. I do most of the minor repairs on our other appliances, and don't usually have this much trouble figuring things out. I would appreciate any help you might offer. Thanks.
