Cooktop lockout won't unlock F40 code
Model Number: 790.9641 340D Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
Cook top lockout feature came on.( Cook top will not heat) I tried to turn lockout off by holding light button 3+ seconds as per manual. Will not unlock. Gives code F40. Tried disconnecting power 5-10 minutes then trying procedure again. Did not reset. I checked wiring to control module to see that it was secure, seemed OK. Any ideas on how to reset or parts I may need to order for repair?
